South Africans allowed more services from the first of June 2020 to ease pressure on essential workers

The South African government has now allowed a number of sectors to operate from 1st June 2020 so that a number of essential services that were catering for different sections of the economy could be relieved of pressure as there was a lot of work to be done by a few individuals and companies in the economy of South Africa.

From Monday the 1st June 2020, all business sectors except those mentioned, will open for business in South Africa considering that they will be making sure all measures to fight the spread of the coronavirus are now compulsory. The government is trying by all means to balance the saving of lives and also saving the economy.

Restaurants and bars are now allowed to trade but with limited powers as they are only allowed to sell their products to consumers for consumers to consume at home. All these businesses are allowed to sell their products for the time frames provided by the ministers during a briefing today on the 28th May 2020 where it was made clear that every single sector should adhere to the measures in place to combat the spread of the virus.

South Africans were living under a lot of stress for the past 60 days and they are now given the green light to help the growth of the economy but not forgetting the dangers of the pandemic as the number of people who contracted the virus is increasing on a daily basis. Everyone is expected to play their part to help the government to reduce the spread of the virus to all South Africans.

There are a number of problems with regard to the payment of the unemployed distress grant that was announced by the president as a lot of South Africans are living without food during lockdown caused by COVID-19. Only 10 people have been paid by SASSA until today and a lot of people are worried as they are starving and not being helped at all by the government.
