Assistant Audit Manager
Requirements
• A relevant three- year qualification with preference in auditing
or internal audit as a major and second major in a subject
relevant to the area of audit specialisation such as
Accounting and Computer Science
• Professional Internal Auditor and studying towards a relevant
professional certification such as Certified Internal Auditor
and/or other relevant professional designation with
completed articles or IIA Learnership
• Certified Internal Auditor/ Chartered Accountant CA(SA)/
Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) is
preferred
• Registered with a recognised audit or other recognised and
relevant professional institute/body
• Minimum eight (8) years’ Key Performance Indicator audit
and Performance Audit experience (which includes two (2)
years of supervisory / management experience)
• A working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, z
including SAP and Audit Software (such as BarnOwl) is
preferred
• Valid driver’s licence.
Key Performance Areas
• Create, implement and monitor a corporate wide risk-based
Audit Plan
• Perform, manage, monitor and review audit work in
compliance with relevant legislation, policies, regulations,
frameworks, standards (e.g. IPPF) and guidelines
• Demonstrate knowledge base and experience in governance,
controls and risk management
• Maintain sound relations and demonstrate sound business
values to stakeholders
• Execute general management functions to maintain a
professional environment, so that the Department can meet
its objectives, efficiently and economically
• Manage assigned resources in the Internal Audit Branch in
order to achieve the approved audit plan and the branch/
department goals in the most efficient and effective manner.
