Servest security, a division of servest has a vacancy for a compliance and control officer reporting to the specialised services team leader. Must have a minimum of 5 years security industry experience.
Duties And Responsibilities
Work closely with stakeholders to ensure compliance to internal and client controls
Offer support in the co-ordination of audits, surveys and reviews
Developing and implementing compliance test programs and checklists
Conduct compliance tests, issue and discuss results of tests with responsible managers and staff
Follow-up on non-compliances to ensure corrective action is taken
Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of operations and promoting continuous improvement
Review processes to ascertain extent to which results are consistent with goals and objectives and are performed as intended
In charge of managing, monitoring and reporting on the quality, health and safety with an emphasis on measuring systems in place with adequacy and relevancy of measurement parameters
Provide SHEQ guidelines to client sites
Test any proposed modifications to establish its compliance with customer standards
Establish and maintain dialogue with managers and client to ensure good relations with relevant stakeholders
Report on variances on a monthly basis and compile required reports
Monitor major and critical risk issues, aid with the closure of risk and audit remediation and verify effective closure if done by business. If responsible for the closure of treatment action, inform the regional second level risk function for verification

Co-ordinate and be the liaison between operations and internal SHEQ role-players
Implement policies and procedure designed to mitigate exposure and enhance compliance activities
Understanding and ensuring compliance of all company and regulatory policies and procedures related to SHRQ are implemented consistently and that any & all changes are communicated in a timely and effective manner
Raise compliance awareness through toolbox talks and briefings, delivering training where necessary to support and develop capability
Co-ordination of the team; records; reports; 24hour communication with contract manager, client; sites; supervisors and managers as well as incident management
Ensure compliance whether statutory, contractual and company regulations and processes
Enforcing and updating client SOPs
Compile and complete all necessary administrative paperwork required on sites e.g. site files
Prompt resolution of customer complaints
Manage, observe, inspect and monitor administration which includes β day to day admin; job card administration; shift schedules; leave & pay queries; vehicle administration
Keep abreast with regulatory and industry standards
Conduct internal and external meetings
Qualifications And Experience
Grade 12
Minimum 5 years in the Security Industry; would be beneficial to have Intervention, Riot and Crowd control experience
Experience in SHEQ and administrative support will be beneficial
Proven experience in supporting the delivery of a security service
Experience in the field of customer relationship management will be beneficial
Strong analytical ability
Computer literacy particularly MS Office specifically Excel
Excellent communication skills β written and verbal
Ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders
Sound planning and organizational ability
Energetic and capable of working independently
Must have the necessary coping mechanisms to work under pressure
