Applications are invited from suitably qualified and interested candidates for this position at the Agriculture Division.
The incumbent will interact with the Hatchery & Operations Manager, Hatchery and Incubation and Technical Assistant. The Egg Room/Transfer staff reports directly to the Supervisor: Egg Room, Transfer and Setters. The ideal candidate will be in possession of a Grade 12 certificate, computer literacy and a minimum of two years’ experience in a Hatchery. This position reports to the Hatchery Production and Operations Manager.
Results Required Ensure all egg packing and grading is done according to Hatchery SOP. Ensure that all eggs are packed according to STD’s according to Hatchery SOP. Ensure that all sets are done according to Operational Set Plan Ensure that all transfers are done according to Hatchery SOP All egg transfer to Blue Hatchery in Midrand are packed and dispatched on time. Egg rooms are kept at desired temperatures and Humidity according to situation needs. All cleaning and quality standards are strictly adhered to per Hatchery SOP.
To insure all admin around the receiving, setting and distribution of eggs is done and kept up to date. Daily/Monthly and Year-end Stock counts are done and accuracy is kept within Company Audit allowable variances. Communication of Sets and Distribution of eggs with all relevant parties. Quick learner who is able to analyze and interrogate data to optimize performance. Excellent planning and technical skills in a dynamic environment.
