The Department of Correctional Services (DCS) is urgently hiring 60 new Security Officers as part of its 2025 government recruitment intake. This is a great opportunity for unemployed South African citizens who are passionate about safety and protection services within the justice system.
POSITIONS AVAILABLE:
Security Officers x60
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Nationwide (South Africa)
Salary: R14,000 – R19,000 per month (Depending on location and grade)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Grade 12 / Senior Certificate
No criminal record
Good communication skills (verbal and written)
Physically fit and mentally strong
PSIRA registration will be an added advantage
Experience in security services is not essential but will be beneficial
Must be willing to undergo a medical and security clearance
DUTIES INCLUDE:
Ensuring the safety and security of inmates and staff
Conducting access control and perimeter patrols
Monitoring surveillance systems
Responding to emergencies and incidents
Reporting any security breaches or suspicious activities
