Are you an adept SQL and Business Intelligence Developer seeking an exciting opportunity? Our client is currently looking for a skilled individual to join their IT team as an Intermediate SQL/BI Developer. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting Control Tower operations, contributing to data analysis, reporting, and data integration efforts.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Reporting:
• Develop SQL queries and create BI reports to extract actionable insights from our data.
• Collaborate closely with the Control Tower team to understand reporting needs and ensure timely delivery of reports.
Data Integration:
• Design and maintain data integration processes, consolidating data from various sources into a centralized repository.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency in integration processes.
Automation:
• Implement automation solutions to streamline routine data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort in data-related tasks.
Support:
• Provide ongoing support to the Control Tower team for data-related inquiries and troubleshooting.
• Work closely with end-users to efficiently resolve data queries and issues.
Collaboration:
• Collaborate with IT developers to understand their data requirements and optimize data structures and processes for development projects.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in SQL development and Business Intelligence.
• Proficiency in SQL querying and data manipulation.
• Experience with BI tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
Microsoft Certifications: While not mandatory, the following Microsoft certifications would be beneficial for this role:
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals.
• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Fundamentals.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate.
• Microsoft Certified: SQL Server Database Development.
Please note that while these certifications can be beneficial, practical experience and skills are equally important. The qualifications and certifications mentioned above provide a well-rounded profile for an Intermediate SQL/BI Developer.
