Durban Girls College PERSONAL ASSISTANT TO HEAD EXECUTIVE NEW JOB OPPORTUNITY 2025

Durban Girls’ College was founded in 1877 and is a leading independent girls’ school with a proud
history and a Christian ethos. It offers an innovative, forward-looking, and relevant education for girls
from Grades 00 to Matric.
This position requires an energetic and professional individual who can work independently and take
initiative.
The successful candidate should have the following:
• Five years’ experience as a Personal Assistant.
• A well-presented, self-motivated team player.
• Ability to plan and work at least two weeks ahead to consistently ensure that the Executive
Head remains fully informed of all pertinent information.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to draft clear and accurate documents,
demonstrating a good command of the English language.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a natural ability to build rapport and engage effectively
with others.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks calmly, efficiently, and with strong organisational skills.
• Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools.
• Highly organised and able to meet deadlines promptly and consistently.
• Attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in
all tasks.
• Responsible for setting up meetings, sending invitations, recording minutes, and distributing
them to relevant stakeholders.
• Ability to coordinate, organise, and manage conferences, including booking venue
arrangements, scheduling, logistics, and communication with staff and the Executive Head to
ensure smooth and successful events.
• Effective at managing diaries and scheduling to support seamless operations.
• Experience in managing Google calendars.
• Skilled in booking flights and accommodations for staff and the Executive Head, ensuring
seamless travel arrangements.
• Due to the nature of our business, employees will have access to sensitive and confidential
information. Candidates must demonstrate a high level of discretion, trustworthiness, and
integrity in handling all such information.
• Valid Code 08 Drivers license is mandatory.
• Own a reliable car and be willing to use it for work-related duties.
• Fuel expenses will be reimbursed according to the SARS rates.possession of current Criminal Clearance, Child Protection Register Clearance, and Sexual
Offenders Register Clearance certificates.

Previous experience in a school environment would be an added advantage.
