The Gauteng Traffic Police is calling on young, disciplined, and passionate South Africans to apply for the 2025 Traffic Officer Trainee Programme. A total of 9,000 trainee positions are available for dedicated individuals who want to serve and protect the roads of Gauteng.

Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 / Matric Certificate
Valid South African ID
No criminal record
Between the ages of 18β35
Physically and mentally fit
Clear background for traffic-related offences
Must not be permanently employed elsewhere
Must be willing to undergo medical and fitness assessments
Duties Will Include:
Enforcing traffic laws and regulations
Conducting road safety operations
Attending to accident scenes
Promoting awareness and compliance on the roads
Performing point duty and roadblocks
Training Details:
Successful candidates will undergo formal training at an accredited Traffic Training College
Monthly stipend will be provided during training
Uniforms and study materials included
Upon completion, candidates may be considered for permanent placement (subject to performance and availability)
