Position: Traffic Officer

Location: Various locations within the Metropolitan Municipality
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Start Date: 2025 intake
Salary: Market-related (based on municipal scale and experience)
Key Responsibilities:

Enforcing road traffic laws and municipal by-laws
-
Monitoring and controlling traffic flow
-
Issuing traffic citations and warnings
-
Assisting in accident scenes and emergencies

Conducting road safety campaigns and public education
Requirements:

Grade 12 / Matric certificate
-
Valid South African ID
-
Must be medically and physically fit
-
No criminal record
-
Code B driving license (Manual)
-
Must be willing to undergo further training
-
Must be between the ages of 18 and 35

Good communication and interpersonal skills
Added Advantage:

Traffic Officer Certificate or Diploma (not compulsory, but preferred)

Experience in law enforcement or traffic control
