Th South African bottles industry is going to be one of the main employer in the country starting from January 2021 as the agreement with government has been signed to allow the industry to operate without competition from other countries especially Europe.
Now that South Africa will be producing their own bottles, more jobs are coming South Africans’ way. Nearly 1 million jobs have been created so far where ordinary South Africans who completed their Grade 12 are allowed to apply for projects which are going to start from October 2020.
The bottles industry comprises of plastic and glass bottles. The two have more than 3 million jobs in the country and so far 1 million has been added which means the industry is expecting to have about 10 million jobs for South Africans in a period of 5 years which simply means by 2025 10 million South Africans will be employed by the bottles industry.
The government is also subsidizing the industry to make sure they have enough funding to implement all their plans.
