South African companies are planning for the new era caused by the disastrous Covid-19 outbreak which destroyed the economy in a way that only a few are existing and still doing well. The government is fully aware of the current economic condition and doing everything they can to help as many companies as possible.
A number of companies have already closed shop due to the fact that they were unable to continue after the president announced that all companies can return to normal. Those who are closed have retrenched workers and now waiting for another chance of making it in other sectors which have potential.
More families are going to be hungry for a long time due to the virus and already there are millions of people who are living without food on a daily basis in the country. Those who were retrenched during lockdown are under a lot of pressure as they stand a chance to lose houses and other properties as they won’t be able to pay their monthly installments.
South Africans are now looking at other ways of getting income every month as they cannot rely on a job anymore. There are a lot of people who have started their online businesses while others are learning skills to make money online than to sit and wait for employment from companies as they are also unable to accommodate people.
