GERIATRIC, FRAIL CARE, ALZHEIMER’S AND DEMENTIA CARE FACILITY
Our client is looking for Care Providers with experience in geriatric patients diagnosed with dementia.
Responsibilities but not limited to:
Provide general daily care for residents (Personal hygiene, oral hygiene, hair is clean, wash (bath/shower) regularly, wearing clean clothes, shave beard, groom nose and ear hair, assist with toilet and/or incontinence wear)
Monitoring residents as instructed on care plan
Assisting the residents during mealtimes
Always ensuring the safety of the residents
Creating and maintaining a clean, tidy environment for residents
Record keeping and administration
Assisting residents in activities of daily living to promote their well-being
Ensuring that infection control is maintained on the floor
Self-motivation, training and self-development
Essential:
Secondary Qualification: Grade 10
Tertiary Qualification: Care Provider Certificate
Language Professional Proficiency (read, write & speak): English
At least 6 months experience in caring for the elderly
Understand and adhere to the importance of resident hygiene, personal hygiene and health and safety requirements
Clean criminal record
Desired:
Course in dementia care
Matriculation qualification
Third language an advantage
