Company Overview Coca-Cola Beverages Africa is the largest Coca-Cola bottler in Africa, accounting for 40% of all Coca-Cola volumes on the continent. CCBA is the market leader in the NARTD (market for ready-to-drink non-alcoholic beverages) in Africa. CCBA has a broad presence in Africa, employing approximately 14,000 employees, of which approximately 7,000 are in South Africa.
Key Purpose Statement Ensure the cleaning of prescribed work areas as directed by the supervising officer, using prescribed methods and frequencies in accordance with the requirements of the cleaning specification.
Key duties and responsibilities
• Emptying and cleaning of bins or similar containers, transport of waste material to designated collection points. • Sweep floors with brushes or dust control mops. • Mop floors with wet or damp mops. • Suction clean carpeted areas and clean “spot” carpets. • Use electric scrubbing and polishing machines to buff, scrub, buff, and spray clean floors (after proper instruction and training). • Using electrically powered collection machines. • Working at heights may include the use of high-level equipment. • For dusting, wet cleaning, washing or polishing furniture, shelves, window sills, external surfaces of cabinets, shelves and appliances. • To replenish consumable items (soap, toilet paper rolls, paper towels) according to instructions or according to standard operating procedures. • To clean toilets, urinals, sinks, sinks, bathtubs, showers, and drinking fountains. • Deep cleaning of ablutions. • Drain cleaning. • Work in the gardens, which may include removing weeds, using pesticides, mowing lawns, and pruning trees and shrubs. • The use of chemical agents as directed by the Supervisor in the execution of cleaning operations or maintenance procedures, after receiving the appropriate instructions and training. • Carry out wall washing or interior window cleaning within the prescribed height limits. • To perform any other reasonable duty within the general job function. • Cleaners must inform the supervisor or team leader in charge of any factors that may affect their work and that they consider the caregiver or cleaner in charge should be aware of. • The location of cleaning areas may need to be relocated to meet the needs of the facility. • You may need to work alone or in a team. • Not necessarily assigned to a specific location within the facility. • You can be expected to train your colleagues on the job from time to time. • All staff are expected to be courteous to colleagues and visitors and to provide a welcoming environment for everyone on site.
Skills, experience and education
Qualifications • Minimum requirement: Grade 12 / Matrix Degree. Experience • Minimum requirement: • Ideal experience in a consumer goods environment. • Literate and numbered.
