FNB is looking to employ a Travel Agent.

 Duties and Responsibilities

Minimum requirement: National Diploma in Travel or similar
Fully Bilingual – English (Read, Write and Speak) and Afrikaans (Preferable – Read, Write and Speak)
Minimum of 10 years’ experience within the Travel industry
10 years GDS experience with strong command of Galileo GDS
Previous travel concierge (or similar), leisure and corporate experience, focusing on VIP/UHNW clients an advantage
A passion for travel and delivering service excellence
Ability to multi-task within a high-pressured environment
Creative problem solver and good organizational skills
Ability to work independently (work from home environment, remote or office/s as required)
Strong sense of urgency
Impeccable attention to detail
Creating the WOW experience for our clients with each interaction
Proven recent international travel
Resilience and composure to remain positive under pressure or in changing circumstances
Sales experience and the consultative skills to confidently recommend and cross-sell relevant products and services
Strong time management
Nice to have skills
Leisure travel background
Innovative product /experiences sourcing skills
Understanding of working in a Loyalty travel environment dealing with VIP/high net worth individuals and their demands.

Core Business Objectives Responsibilities of a Lifestyle Consultant
Provide information on (but not limited to) travel, facilities and services, events and attractions, tours, travel routes and transportation schedules
Facilitate the quoting and booking of all travel arrangements, travel appointments where required, special reservations where required, special requests, for complex itineraries
Organize extra’s for VIP client or special occasions (“Surprises and Delights”)
Creative flair and ability to tailor make “high touch” luxury travel packages working directly with suppliers with the ability to execute concepts through to completion
Source travel products and information for upmarket clients
Trustworthy, discrete and sensitive to clients’ needs at all times
Build relationships and rapport with your customers
Build and maintain good relationships with suppliers
Build and maintain good relationships with personal Bankers and product houses (where applicable)
Provide customers with excellent customer service and always go the extra mile
High attention to detail in all areas of your role
Assist with after hour duty, including nights and weekends
Deal with complaints and refunds and work alongside the Manager to resolve them
Come up with new initiatives and creative ideas for clients
Arranging all travel related queries and advising clients on travel arrangements, e.g., visas and passports
Keeping clients up to date with any changes
Counsel clients on terms and conditions of travel, e.g., cancellation policies, Covid protocols, insurance, general advice
Process payments and discount allocation/s
Promote destinations, tour packages, concierge, and other services
Provide travel tips on currency, language, safety, health, etc.
Maximize on sales opportunities
Deliver excellent customer service
Achieve monthly KPI as set out by the Manager
Capable of working within a team structure or autonomously

Qualifications and Experience

• Matric • Diploma in Travel/Hospitality/Tourism • Amadeus experience, minimum of 4 years • 6 years travel experience • Previous concierge (or similar) experience advantage • 5 Star/Elite customer relations • Supervisor experience • Leisure travel background • Sales and marketing experience
