Hyundai Automotive South Africa Pty Ltd is looking for a Technical Trainer at Motus Training Academy that will be based in Pinetown. The Training Officer will be responsible for facilitating learning according to predetermined frameworks.
Specific Role Responsibilities
Training and Development
Conduct automotive trade theory training
Facilitate learning according to predetermined lesson frameworks. Engage learners in an interactive 360° learning methodology.
Use of tactile learning methodologies through demonstrations and displays.
Use of leaning stimuli methods in the media and presentations on CDX and other.
Use of a variety of interactive assessments and CDX are used to determine competence.
Use of innovative and rational learning methodologies (Spontaneous and “Out of the box” approach).
Ensure learning is aligned to the assessments and learners best prepared for assessments;
Ensure discipline and respect in the learning environment is maintained
Due to the nature of the company`s business you may be asked to work overtime from time to time on reasonable notice. Notwithstanding the aforesaid, in the event of an emergency, you will be expected to work emergency without notice.
Automotive practical training
Adherence to occupational health and safety rules and regulations
Facilitate learning according to predetermined lesson frameworks
Engage learners in an interactive 360° learning methodology
Use of tactile learning methodologies through demonstrations and displays
Facilitator is constantly in support of learners during practical engagements
Learners are given ample opportunity to engage practically and practice under constant supervision.
Use of a variety of interactive assessments are used to determine reflexive competence
Use of innovative and rational learning methodologies (Spontaneous and “Out of the box” approach)
Ensure learning is aligned to the assessments and learners best prepared for assessments
Maintain discipline and respect in the learning environment.
Administration of training
Ensure training registers are completed daily
Ensure all assessments, reports and learning activities are signed off weekly
Ensure all learner files are completed and submitted on AMS or to the administration office at the end of each week Level and trade test preparation
Note: The same standards are applied as in “Automotive trade theory training”, “Automotive practical training the same “Administration of training” processes are applied
Qualifications and Experience
Qualified Automotive artisan/ Qualified Technician
Grade 12 or equivalent NTC trade qualification
Diesel trade
Preferably accredited facilitator, assessor and moderator
Strong technical background
5 years experience as an ETDP
3 years in a management role and/or leadership role
