Title: Pointsmen/Patroller
Department: Public Safety
Branch: JMPD – Regional Operations
Contract Duration: Up to 12 months
Remuneration: R110.88 per hour (no additional benefits)
📝 Key Responsibilities
Patrolling assigned areas to enforce law and order
Managing and directing traffic to ensure smooth flow
Participating in community safety initiatives and school patrols
Assisting in crime prevention efforts in accordance with relevant legislation

🧭 Core Competencies
Understanding of the Criminal Procedure Act 51 of 1977
Knowledge of the National Road Traffic Act and City By-laws
Commitment to public service and adherence to Batho Pele Principles
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
