SALARY : Grade 1: R269 301 – R312 186 per annum
Grade 2: R331 191 – R380 337 per annum
Grade 3: R401 691 – R465 669 per annum
Grade 4: R494 028 – R607 593 per annum

REQUIREMENTS : Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions
(SACSSP) as Social Worker. Grade 1: None, Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years
appropriate experience in social work after registration as Social Worker with
the SACSSP, Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate experience in
social work after registration as Social Worker with the SACSSP, Grade 4: A
minimum of 30 years appropriate experience in social work after registration
as Social Worker with the SACSSP. Knowledge and Skills: Good interpersonal
relations. Sound knowledge in problem solving in human relationships,
empowerment and liberation of people. Computer literacy. Advantage added:
Background and knowledge of HIV/AIDS programs.
DUTIES : Provide social work services through the promotion of social change and
problem solving in human relationships to enhance social wellbeing. Render
social work services in facilities in allocated areas where they conduct
assessments with clients, (individual, couple, family, group therapy). Support
the implementation of adherence to treatment strategies. Work in multidisciplinary team to implement health services. Organize and present health
promotion and prevention programs.
