| Purpose of the Job | Join a high performing, newly formed team, responsible for Customer Digital Technologies, for the biggest Retailer in Africa. You will be responsible for formulating, implementing, and maintaining the Human Resource (HR) Strategy aligned with overall business objectives and priorities. You will also be responsible for providing leadership across the full HR spectrum and driving key human resource initiatives for a business of over 250 people. |

| Job Objectives | Responsible for ensuring the successful execution of key Human Resources deliverables, including: Developing and implementing an efficient talent acquisition strategy aligned with business needs and requirements Developing and implementing strategies to attract diverse candidates to all areas of the business Anticipating the organisation’s future talent needs and working with senior executives to advise on recruiting tactics that will support in sustaining the company’s success Responsible for managing a highly-skilled team to assist with talent acquisition and development Remain up to date with recruitment trends within the market and identify the impact on the business Support with workforce planning and resource forecasting Planning regular employee performance reviews and providing feedback to the business Developing effective strategies for identifying skills gaps within the workforce Organising and overseeing individual and team training and development programs Monitoring and reporting on staff turnover rates Developing and implementing employee retention programs or strategies Advise and guide management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues. Managing and delivering reports and data when required |
| Qualifications | 3-year Bachelor’s Degree / NQF level 7 in Human Resources Postgraduate qualification advantageous Member of the following professional board: SABPP – South African Board for People Practices advantageous |
| Experience | 8 years + of experience in Human Resources in a leadership role Supervisory Industry experience in IT or Fintech Experience in the formulation and implementation of HR and Talent Strategies |
| Knowledge and Skills | Establishing ways of working (AGILE), in an environment encompassing E-commerce, Data, Digital Marketing, Digital Product Channels and Data Science. Staffing & Recruiting Training & Coacing Development and Counselling Internal Communications Workforce Planning Talent Management Drafting of factual reports, presentations, procedure or policy documents or training material Writing proposals or presentations aimed at changing practices within or across business units |
