About the position
ENVIRONMENT:
THE teaching expertise of an Education Specialist with strong Mathematics & Life Science background is sought by a dynamic Online Learning Solutions Platform in Centurion. Your role will include managing quality assurance of allocated subjects, developing study notes and assessment plans and the application & monitoring of CAPS while presenting online classes in relevant subjects. The ideal candidate must posses a Level 7 Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Education and be SACE registered with at least 4 years’ suitable experience having knowledge of the requirements for Mathematics Grade 10-12 and Life Science Grade 10-12.DUTIES:
Manage quality assurance of allocated subjects.
Development of study notes and assessment plans.
Apply and monitor the application of CAPS and the assessment requirements of the examination boards in the assessment tasks.
Present online classes in relevant subject field.
Facilitate lessons in the specific subject field at the Lynnwood campus.
Manage client queries and communication for relevant subjects including email, telephonic and other communication / interaction.
Provide advice on possible improvements.
Understand and apply CAPS and the assessment requirements as indicated in the study material and/or facilitators’ guides.
Investigate, research, suggest, apply, and advise on new trends, products, and technologies relevant to the allocated phase(s) of education.
REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications -Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma (Level 7) with a professional Teaching qualification.
SACE registered.
Experience/Skills -4 Years relevant experience.
Knowledge of the requirements of the various phases of education: Mathematics Gr 10-12 and Life Sciences Gr 10-12.
Computer literate.
Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
