1000 Job Openings – Land & Facilities Maintenance Programme

This week, they have confirmed the availability of an extra 1000 positions for young and enthusiastic talents who are eager to forge their path in the workforce. Land & Facilities Maintenance Programme

Together with the Department of Infrastructure Development (DID), Nasi Ispani is vigorously recruiting a thousand unemployed individuals within the age range of 18 to 55 years. This hiring is a segment of our Land & Facilities Maintenance Programme, a scheme under the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP).

Requirements and Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: Literacy, communicative abilities, and readiness to use hand tools and work autonomously.
Previous Experience: Not required, but previous work on vacant land will be beneficial.
Commitment & Contractual Agreements: 12-month non-renewable contract, local residency, and a clean criminal background.
Desired Skills and Competencies
Understanding of Regulations: Awareness of legal standards in waste, environment, and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) on vacant land, as well as the Batho Pele principles.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written abilities.
Important Attributes
Characteristics: Job-related knowledge, team collaboration, interpersonal abilities, and adaptability.

Job Duties
Maintenance Tasks: Regular cleaning of sites, waste removal, grass cutting, tree removal, and transport of waste to landfill sites.
