Job Summary
•The provision of labour as directed by the supervisor in order to ensure a safe and clean working environment or optimized cargo operation.
Duties And Responsibilities
•Cleaning of operational equipment (such as ship to shore cranes, windows, cranes Cabins etc.)
•Inspection of container condition
Reefer monitoring operations
Opening and closing of rail wagons twist locks.
•Loading, offloading and stacking of cargo in compliance with the standard operating procedures
Hooking/unhooking
•Tarping/untarring where applicable.
•Place/removed damage
•Cleaning of operational environment, rail, truck, workshop, offices, Shed sand ablution facilities as instructed.
•Complete applicable i.e. accident report
•Identification of correct cargo handling equipment/ tools.
Qualifications And Experience
•Matric
a minimum of 2 years experience as a port worker/ general worker
•Completed Curriculum Vitae to be submitted)
