Job Summary
•To supervise the day-to-day Cold Stores department activities while ensuring that internal systems and
Market By-Laws are adhered to, with the aim of securing the revenue and ensure products are sold in a
hygienic environment that is complimented by a friendly customer service (Market agents and Buyers).
•Ensuring an efficient and effective service delivery in respect of ripening requirements.
Duties And Responsibilities
•Operate a forklift for the movement of pallets and produce, perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking oil, water and tyres, ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and suppliers, promote continuous improvement of workplace safety
and environmental practices, load, lift and move articles on pallets, pallets from trading agents to distribution center, load trucks with pallets and packed produce, stock splitting for customers, drive
defensively and handle hazardous road conditions, calculate and estimate the weight of loads with
load limits, change heavy tires and clean, maintain vehicles, clean and maintain forklift. •Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications And Experience

-Grade 9 / NQF level 1
-Forklift driver’s license
-6 months relevant experience
